Envio Shield e gli integratori: più pericolosi di quanto si pensi

Sotto l’articolo trovate la mail che ci hanno inviato i produttori dell’integratore e la nostra risposta. Ho aggiunto anche un paio di considerazioni e approfondimenti. Ovviamente se ci scriveranno ancora ve lo faremo sapere, ma dubito. Proseguite per l’approfondimento

Gli argomenti che trattiamo vanno a periodi: ultimamente fatti e fattacci sull’alimentazione hanno tenuto banco, mentre le scie chimiche sono un evergreen. Oggi riesco a fare una combo: Envio Shield.

 
Envio Shield è un classico integratore alimentare in capsule distribuito dalla Chemdefence. Il sito è il classico sito che vende integratori magici che fanno dimagrire, allungare parti anatomiche e così via, ma la promessa di questo integratore è di disintossicarvi dai metalli pesanti. Ma attenzione, soprattutto i metalli pesanti contenuti nelle scie chimiche. Sì, scie chimiche. Giusto l’altro giorno discutevo con gli altri autori se fosse il caso di scrivere sugli integratori, per via di quello che è successo negli States nei giorni scorsi riguardo al dott. Oz. Se ci sarà modo approfondirò, ma possiamo approfittare di questa occasione per chiarire almeno alcuni aspetti. Per chi non avesse seguito la faccenda del dott. Oz può guardare questo servizio di uno show americano che dice quasi tutto quello che c’è da sapere.

Secondo chi lo vende, questo prodotto ci aiuterà a rimuovere dal nostro corpo i metalli e le tossine contenute nelle SCIE CHIMICHE che, secondo i testimonial “importanti”, ci vengono spruzzate continuamente. È come vendere un integratore contro il malocchio. Perchè non è sbagliato vendere un integratore per disintossicarci, qualunque cosa questo voglia dire, ma come fonte di questa intossicazione vengono chiaramente indicate le scie chimiche! Lo ribadiscono più volte nella parte del sito che si chiama “Clinical Studies”, dove ovviamente non c’è un link, non uno, verso questi studi così che l’utente medio non possa neanche leggere, bisogna andare a cercare partendo dai nomi degli studi e capire da soli dove trarre le informazioni. Prima “disonestà”

Nessuno di quelli indicati sono “studi”, ma sono organizzazioni o publisher di studi. Poi ingrediente per ingrediente ci indicano, ribadisco senza link, quali studi sostengano l’utilità specifica degli ingredienti in relazione alle scie chimiche

Bario, piombo, arsenico, mercurio e alluminio: alcuni grandi classici e altre new entry nel vasto mondo delle scie chimiche. All’inizio pensavo “Bhe, dopotutto se c’è gente che se lo compra e loro accennano solo alle scie non è proprio truffa”, ma dopo aver letto questa parte “scientifica” invece ho cominciato ad incazzarmi, perchè dire che i test hanno dimostrato che le scie contengano bario è una bugia, così come le altre sostanze, perchè non ci sono test sulle scie in quota fatte da chi sostiene queste cose. Citano un sacco di studi (buona parte cinesi) e mai una citazione di un test sulle scie. Come mai? Sull’arsenico è proprio esilarante, non si usa un fatto, ma un dubbio, se alcuni problemi possano essere causati dall’aumento di questo elemento, che però nessuno ha mai dimostrato esserci in primo luogo nelle scie chimiche. Sull’alluminio altra perla: è il fatto che sia presente nelle scie che vengono spruzzate dappertutto a causarne la presenza più alta, non che sia già di fatto una delle sostanze più presenti nella crosta terrestre! L’unica cosa che sicuramente si può trovare nelle scie di condensa degli aerei è il piombo, e questo lo sanno tutti, perchè gli aerei usano carburanti che contengono piombo.

Cosa contiene questo integratore?

Quando ci si basa su studi singoli si può dimostrare quello che si vuole, così come per il selenio che si manipolano i risultati per arrivare alla riduzione del 50% della mortalità assumendolo, quando lo studio citato dice che nel gruppo a cui veniva somministrato il selenio ci sono stati 29 decessi per tumore contro i 57 di chi non lo assumeva. Non è proprio la stessa cosa, anche gli autori dello studio sono ben chiari dicendo che sevono altri studi per confermarne l’utilità nella prevenzione e cura (tra l’altro lo studio era per il carcinoma alla pelle, e per quello non fa nulla), e bisogna stare attenti alle quantità. Qua arriva il problema più grande. Che cosa ingeriamo quando prendiamo gli integratori? Il “made in USA” non è un sinonimo di qualità per forza, come non sarebbe neanche il “made in Italy” perché non sono rari casi di integratori che non contengono quello che c’è scritto e, nel caso specifico, contenendolo può essere pericoloso per la salute lo stesso.
La dose consigliata (3 capsule al giorno) ci fornisce il 141% della quantità di  selenio raccomandato, e troppo selenio può essere tossico per il corpo, e molti altri studi successivi (quello citato sul sito è tra gli anni 80 e 90) indicano che il selenio abbia una influenza al più limitata nella prevenzione e cura del cancro.
La vitamina E è del 227% superiore a quella consigliata mentre sulla vitamina C parliamo del 1667%, 16 volte la quantità consigliata giornaliera! Le vitamine servono al nostro corpo per sopravvivere, ma troppe vitamine fanno male:

Assumendo l’Envio Shield sarete immuni dalle scie chimiche (forse sì, forse no), ma in compenso magari vi verranno dei bei calcoli renali e potreste ritrovarvi a cagare come un drago grazie all’abuso di vitamine E e C. In compenso la quantità di potassio, che servirebbe a combattere l’onnipresente bario, è risibile, tanto vale mangiarsi un paio di banane o una patata.
Per le altre sostanze contenute non esiste una quantità raccomandata, ma penso che sia molto chiaro quale sia il problema più grande: gli integratori sono un’arma a doppio taglio. Per alcuni possono essere molto utili, soprattutto chi segue diete poco o per nulla bilanciate, per altri consigliati, mentre per altri ancora totalmente inutili (che vuol dire soldi sprecati), ma ancora peggio possono essere dannosi. Saranno gli integratori ad avvelenarvi, non le scie chimiche, che non esistono.
Mangiare meno cibo industriale, meno fritto e grasso, meno alcol, più frutta e verdura, cercando sempre di mantenere un equilibrio, e fare attività fisica sono delle regole semplici da seguire per il “vivere sano”. Gli integratori possono essere d’aiuto in molti casi, ma il fai da te può fare molto molto male anche perché non esistono dosaggi corretti, tanto non sono medicine pensiamo, e si finisce per fare danni.

Questo prodotto (il selenio) è venduto come integratore negli Stati Uniti. A differenze delle case farmaceutiche (i farmaci devono essere testati prima di poter essere venduti), le aziende che producono integratori non sono obbligati a provare alla Food and Drug Administration (FDA) che i loro prodotti siano sicuri ed efficaci, fintanto che non sostengano di prevenire, trattare o curare qualsiasi malattia nello specifico.

Alcuni prodotti potrebbero non contenere la quantità di erbe o sostanze che sono indicati sulle etichette e potrebbero contenere altre sostanze (contaminanti).  La quantità effettiva per dose potrebbe variare da marchio a marchio o addirittura tra diversi lotti dello stesso produttore. Nel 2007 la FDA ha introdotto nuove regole per incrementare la qualità della produzione degli integratori alimentari e l’indicazione corretta degli ingredienti. Queste regole però non risolvono il problema della sicurezza o della efficacia di questi sulla salute.

La maggior parte di questi supplementi non è stato testato per trovare interazioni eventuali con medicine, cibo o altri integratori o erbe. Anche se alcune segnalazioni di interazioni ed effetti negativi possano essere pubblicati, studi completi delle interazioni non sono quasi mai disponibili. Per via di questi limiti, ogni informazione su interazioni o effetti indesiderati deve essere considerato incompleto.

Un ottimo lassativo per 50$ a boccetta, o 35$ a boccetta se volete farvi del male per 5 mesi di fila. Ricordatevi che c’è sempre un business dietro. Una volta che c’è un target, c’è un prodotto. Non siate fessi.

Dear Mr Novik, thanks for your email, very nice and professional. We never meant to criticise the production quality of your supplement, we are sure that it is made with the highest quality ingredients, with the health of your customers in mind. Since you are in the United States you know all the issues with supplements regulation, we wanted to inform also our readers about that.
With that being said, we have some serious issues with some of your words. I agree that believing in chemtrails is irrelevant since they do not exist. But you are directly marketing your product against the effects of chemtrails. The header of your web page says “Chemtrail Detox”, and the word chemtrail is written more than twenty times (and I haven’t counted all the times), you even speak about “chemtrails pathogens”, barium, and a shitload of elements that you have no evidence at all that are being sprayed in the athmosphere. As I said, only lead is present since airplane use leaded fuel. The images and words used are chosen to hit all the weak people that have fallen into the mass illusion of chemtrails, and that is not a nice thing. Of course we are exposed to a lot of pollution, but the main source that you are targeting against is fictional. It is like selling weapons against dynosaurs or zombies. Who knows, they may be real. Flouride in water has never been demonstrated as harmful (just drink bottled water to be safe), and it is ridicolous to put GMOs in this context since the issues with those have absolutely nothing to do with chemicals, au countraire, they need a lot less pesticides and “chemical” aid to grow!
If there is a lot of people that use your supplement and they are satisfied it is indeed good news. But it is a shame that the opinion of naturopathic, olistic and functional medicine doctors is so important to you since none of them is a real world doctor, or to be more precise, none of those are science based medicine, so you are onky talking about opinions and anecdotal facts.
I haven’t analysed all of the studies you are quoting but, as I have seen with selenium, I am sure that they are misquoted, presenting a distorted reality.
If your product was advertised to be efficent for de-intoxication in general we would not have had any problem with it, but as it is presented now it is at least misleading since it is a relief for a non existent condition.
If you really extend your business in Italy you may find a lot of fools, sorry, potential customers, but I must suggest adding apple cider vinegar. Here is very popular among the chemtrails allucination followers.

Le email dovrebbero essere abbastanza chiare anche senza traduzione. Se qualcuno si lamenterà magari le traduciamo anche 😉
Vorrei aggiungere anche un paio di info. Innanzitutto, come anche scritto in alcuni commenti su Facebook e qui sul blog, le quantità di vitamine dell’integratore in questione non sono pericolose in senso stretto, cioè non sono sufficienti ad intossicarci da sole. Però bisogna considerare che queste vanno inserite in una dieta che dovrebbe già contenere queste sostanze e generalmente chi fa uso di integratori difficilmente si ferma ad uno solo. Infatti su internet (non sul loro sito sia ben chiaro) si consiglia di assumerlo insieme al Folium pX, altro integratore che servirebbe a disintossicare il corpo, ma “specializzato” sulle tossine e metalli radioattivi. Complementandosi tra di loro si suggerisce di prenderli entrambi, incrementando la spesa  di altri 65 dollari per una boccetta di estratti di pino. Si suggerisce di prenderlo un mese sì e un mese no in quanto così potente nell’eliminare i minerali nel corpo che potrebbe eliminare anche quelli non tossici (ovviamente è un concetto un po’ fumoso). A questo punto prendiamo anche un integratore di vitamine e minerali così da star tranquilli. Se poi faccio attività fisica aggiungiamo altre capsule e così via, mischiando decine di sostanze di cui non abbiamo modo di conoscere le interazioni e se aggiungiamo magari qualche condizione medica per le quali prendiamo dei medicinali il rischio per la nostra salute aumenta notevolmente. Non metto in dubbio la qualità di questi integratori, ma tanto è tutto naturale no? Che male può fare vero? Proprio come la ephedra, di cui parlammo nell’articolo sulla MERS, venduta come panacea contro tutte le influenze, che però causò la morte di così tante persone da obbligare l’FDA a ritirarlo dal mercato.

Clicchiamo e troviamo queste informazioni che dovrebbero rassicurarci sul prodotto (non linko direttamente e non copio tutto dato che c’è scritto che è vietato, andate pure a vedere se volete) ma il succo è questo

Doctortrusted.org è un servizio indipendente, a pagamento, che rilascia una certificazione sulla “onestà” del venditore e del prodotto,  non è un organo ufficiale e non fanno nessun test di qualità o sicurezza del prodotto. Infatti viene detto che le indicazioni mediche sono ragionevoli, cioè che non fanno nessuna promessa di cura strampalata o di fantasia (che è comunque vietato dalle leggi americane, almeno quello), niente altro, il resto riguarda le problematiche di pagamento e rimborso, cose importanti, ma in nessun modo aumenta l’affidabilità o la qualità o la sicurezza degli integratori. Ribadisco che non abbiamo elementi per accusare, o neanche per pensare, che la qualità dell’integratore sia scarsa oppure che sia pericoloso. Il discorso si estende a tutti gli integratori. Quindi citando di nuovo cancer.org, non ci sono test e documentazioni riguardo agli effetti degli integratori e peggio ancora non ci sono test sulla dannosità di questi, che è la cosa più importante di tutto!
Io stesso uso degli integratori. Non in maniera continua, cerco di usarli quando possono essere utili, e mi informo sugli effetti dei contenuti. Non sono contrario, e non vorrei che i produttori di integratori si arrabbino per questo articolo. Noi generalmente non difendiamo nessuno, difendiamo la realtà dei fatti, e non vorrei che passasse l’idea che i medicinali sono buoni e gli integratori cattivi: una differenza importante è che i medicinali devono passare delle fasi di sperimentazioni che possono durare anche anni prima di essere commercializzati, mentre gli integratori no, quindi probabilmente non sapremo mai quali effetti nocivi possano avere. Chiediamo sempre al nostro medico o ad uno specialista.
Ricordatevi di amare col cuore, ma per tutto il resto di usare la testa.
